While the vast majority of players never make it big playing roulette, every now and then there is somebody who figures it out and makes out like a bandit. One of these players was a man named Joseph Jagger. Joseph Jagger in a short time was over five-million dollars by destroying the Monte Carlo Casino.

Joseph Jagger employed six people to secretly keep taps of the outcomes of the roulette wheels at the Monte Carlo Casino. After years of data collection enough data had been gathered. After looking at the numbers Jagger saw that a specific wheel has an obvious bias towards a few numbers.

Jagger found the knowledge that would make him a millionaire, he found a biased wheel. One wheel at the Monte Carlo had a bias for numbers 7, 8, 9, 17, 18, 19, 22, 28, and 29. These numbers won more often that they should. Jagger then did what was believed impossible. He went to the casino and took it for nearly everything it had.

During July of 1875 Jagger took at seat at the malfunctioning wheel and placed bet after bet on seven. It did not take very long for Jagger to win a large sum of money. Jagger had what every gambler dreams of having, knowledge of where the ball will land.

Jagger kept at it for several days repeatedly betting on the number seven. He kept winning and winning. The damage was then multiplied, as many gamblers quickly started copying his bets. Soon there were several Jaggers all using the same trick to beat the casino.

The casinos needed to fool Jagger; it was the only way they could save themselves. They decided to swap all of the roulette tables without any of the gamblers knowing. They hoped that Jagger would not catch on and would lose all of the money back to them. It worked but the victory was short lived.

But Jagger was one step ahead of the casinos. Before the casinos knew that Jagger was about to make them look like a fool for the rest of history he discreetly scratched the malfunctioning wheel so that he could track it down. Once Jagger had a bad day or two he eyed the wheel and realized that the scratch was missing. He then found the correct table and began to win once more. The casinos then did a complete overhaul and moved the frets on all of the tables on a daily basis.

This put an end to Jagger’s famous run. He realized he was beaten and left the casino and never went back. I say beaten although he left with his earning of over five-million dollars. Could you be the Joseph Jagger of online roulette?
